Bahri Suit Sim (Diving Suit)
Point Deform (Houdini) Delta Mush (Maya)
Prep Step: Export an alembic cache of the character (head + body) and the character's belt separately.
Make sure to follow the settings below where the start frame is at -30
Save alembic caches following naming convention. ​​


Step 1: Download the diving suit asset

Step2: Import it into the scene you will be working in
​
Step 3: Match Transformation the suit to the character in the shot.
*only match translation and rotation

Step 4: Export the suit as a .fbx file. This is the starting point of the sim

Step5: Inside Houdini,
Import the alembic file for the body and place a transform node with a null node
following.

(Make sure its set to Unpack and No Poly Soup)



Note: PolyExtrude as 0.048-0.051(depends on camera)

Note: Delete channels at -30

Note: Delta Mush number depends on the UV stretching and is there any face pop out.

Add belt alembic

Back in main obj
Click belt and move the Pivot to the center - Go back to the geo window - Chose all the Primitives - scale the belt


Note: There is two TimeShift node in this one set up. on -30f make sure the edit for belt is large enough that it doesn't clip to the body

If belt isnt working as it should be , add a transform node and put in $CE in (axis)
